DOORS: 7PM SHOW: 8PM
Spencer LaJoye, Kyle Joe, and Jeremy Facknitz gather to tell the behind-the-scenes stories of how their songs came to life, while they share their music with us.
Kyle Joe
Kyle Joe is a Michigan singer/songwriter who is difficult to pigeonhole. Having released indie-folk records as Chain of Lakes since 2010, he has branched out of late, having penned an original folk musical (The Keeper), a children’s album (The Real Humdingers), written songs for many other artists (Sadie Campbell, Drew Hale, Andy Sydow, Between Two Voices), co-written on numerous projects, and most recently delved into the world of healing/medicine music. Critical accolades include multiple Kerrville finalist nods - including a 2022 win, and a pair of Album of the Year awards (WYCE). KJ enjoys teaching songwriting workshops and hanging with his three inspiring daughters.
Spencer LaJoye
Spencer LaJoye is a singer/songwriter from the Midwest making queer indie folk music for everyone. The 2021 Kerrville Songwriting
Competition and 2024 Songwriter Serenade winner spins crystalline vocals through a loop pedal while strumming an acoustic guitar in charming, banter-heavy performances that keep audiences laughing one moment and weeping the next.
Jeremy Facknitz
Jeremy Facknitz's music is a throwback to when singer-songwriters weren't afraid to turn it up loud, look you in the eye and play more than the same tired four chords. A two-time Kerrville finalist, and 2023 POSI winner, Facknitz embodies the soul of an old-time troubadour, but bitten by a radioactive rockstar and smitten with jazz and musical theatre. John Apice of American Highways says "This is all far above the ordinary.. A good time is guaranteed for all" while John Barlass at At the Barrier writes "Jeremy Facknitz is, indeed, a major talent – and, I can guarantee, like nothing you’ll have ever heard before."
